Peaches are a delicious summer treat. As the peach state, Georgia has many traditional ways to prepare this fruit. One surprising way is to cook peaches on a grill, caramelizing the sugars and leaving a tasty treat similar to baked apples. However, not all of us have a grill, so pan frying peaches is as close as you can get. Try out this modified recipe for a healthier carmelized peach that goes great on salads, in yogurt or even on ice-cream.
1-2 Pearson Farm peaches, sliced
1-2 Tbsp olive oil
3 Tsp balsamic vinegar
1 Tsp cinnamon
Pour olive oil and balsamic vinegar into frying pan. Add sliced peaches and flip regularly until crispy and warm. If peaches begin to stick, add more olive oil. Remove from frying pan, pat lightly to remove excess oil and sprinkle with cinnamon. Enjoy!
